Junior and Sophomore Minute Meetings

It's tough to get back into the groove of school with the holidays and snow days, but I'm ready to get back and continue to work on the goals I set for myself for this school year.  One of my goals was to meet with all of my assigned students.  At this point I am getting worried that I won't be able to meet my goal, but I'm going to try my best.

I have met with all my assigned Seniors a couple of times already to discuss post-secondary plans.  I feel really good about those meetings.  I have started four-year planning with my Freshmen.  Boy, those take more time that I had imagined!  But, I don't mind at all because it's exciting!

Now, I want to get started on meeting with the Juniors and Sophomores.  To do this I have planned to do Minute Meetings (an idea from Andrea Burston's http://jyjoynercounselor.blogspot.com/ and Danielle Shultz http://www.schcounselor.com/ blogs).  I have created a couple of different Google Docs for the minute meetings.  I have made adjustments, changes, additions, etc. I plan to meet with the students during their study halls and it's exciting to be able to introduce myself and meet with them individually!

The forms are very similar but I did make another form for Juniors that I will somehow incorporate with the original Junior form.  The second Junior form is more of a to do list for the summer for them and a checklist/starting point for me for when they return as Seniors.

Here are the forms I plan on using:
Sophomore:

Junior:

Junior Check In:

I can't wait to get started!
